He is a founding member of St. Philip's Frisco and spent five years with Church of the Savior in Allen as part of the church plant team for that parish. He is excited to join Resurrection Plano.
He works for the Schwan's Food Company and enjoys playing golf, watching the Cowboys and drinking coffee (he REALLY enjoys drinking coffee). He is a father to three 'sixth-generation' Texan daughters, Kiley (20), Landrie (18) and Jaidyn (12), and lives in north Plano with his wife, Brooke, their daughters and three dogs (also all female).
Blair King is a graduate of the Texas Tech School of Music and works at the Shelton School in Dallas, where he teaches choir and technology classes. He also teaches private voice lessons and is currently writing music for a new investigative reporting podcast. Blair lives in Carrollton with his wife Lisa and 12-year-old son, Nate.
He has been involved in music ministry his entire life, and he has directed church and community choirs, handbell choirs, played for services and accompanied choirs and soloists. He has a great interest in musical theatre and has served as musical director, conductor, and accompanist for more than 20 productions at local theatres and schools. He feels strongly called to music ministry at this time in his life and is very excited to be a part of the Resurrection worship team.
